Tématem této práce je neoformalistická analýza filmu Donnie Darko, který režíroval Richard Kelly roku 2001. Metodologicky se práce opírá o dva přístupy v současných filmových studiích. Nejprve je film uveden do širšího ekonomického, historického a kulturního kontextu pomocí zkoumání jeho produkce, distribuce a recepce. This thesis is a neoformalist analysis of the film Donnie Darko, directed by Richard Kelly, in 2001. Methodologically, it is based on the two approaches in the contemporary film studies. Firstly, the film is placed in a broader economic, historical and cultural context by examining its production, distribution and reception.
