Education from perspective of autistic children and their families Views on Education in Mainstream Versus Special Primary Schools

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá pohledy na vzdělávání žáků s autismem v prostředí ZŠ běžné versus ZŠ speciální. Cílem práce "provést sondu do vzdělávání žáků s PAS na ZŠ běžné a ZŠ speciální a zjistit hlavní důvody přestupu žáků s PAS ze ZŠ běžné do ZŠ speciální". Pro porovnání výsledků vycházíme z případových studií na jednotlivé žáky, analýzy dat a polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s žáky, rodiči a pedagogy. V práci se věnujeme základním faktům a informacím o poruchách autistického spektra. Klasifikujeme jednotlivé poruchy, popisujeme triádu problémových oblastí u žáků s PAS, věnujeme se vymezení legislativního rámce vzdělávání žáků s autismem a nahlížíme do historie a současnosti vzdělávání žáků s autismem v ZŠ běžné a v ZŠ speciální. Dále se věnujeme výzkumné sondě do vzdělávání žáků s PAS v ZŠ běžné versus ZŠ speciální a jejím výsledkům. Nejprve vymezujeme metodologickou část toho šetření. Dále popisuje jednotlivé metody, díky kterým byla získána důležitá a potřebná data. Nakonec vymezujeme výsledky šetření, které uvádíme v jednotlivé kapitole spolu s doporučením pro praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with perspectives on the education of pupils with autism in the environment of elementary school common versus elementary school special. The aim of the thesis is "to conduct a probe into the education of pupils with PAS at elementary school common and elementary school special and to find out the main reasons for the transfer of pupils with PAS from elementary school common to elementary school special". To compare the results we base on case studies on individual pupils, data analysis and semi-structured interviews with pupils, parents and educators. In the thesis we deal with basic facts and information about autistic spectrum disorders. We classify individual disorders, describe a triad of problem areas in pupils with PAS, we deal with defining the legislative framework of the education of pupils with autism and we look into the history and present of the education of pupils with autism in elementary school common and elementary school special. We also deal with a research probe into the education of pupils with PAS in elementary school common versus elementary school special and its results. First we define the methodological part of the survey. Next we describe the individual methods through which important and necessary data were obtained. Finally we define the results of the survey, which we present in the individual chapter together with recommendations for practice.
