Energetické látky (výbušniny, střeliviny a pyrotechnika) jsou široce používané v civilní i armádní oblasti. Mnoho vysoce energetických sloučenin bylo připraveno a charakterizováno jako možné náhrady za výbušiny typu HMX, RDX nebo TATB, mimo jiné ONT, NONA, DODECA, TPT, HNBP, TENN a TACOT-Z, které jsou zahrnuty v této práci. Energetic substances (explosives, propellants and pyrotechnics) are widely used for civil as well as military applications.
