Sustainable packaging of consumer chemistry products with a focus on the choice and saving of packaging materials

Abstract:

Mnoho obalů je v současné době pouze jednorázových, a jelikož obal je neoddělitelnou součástí většiny výrobků spotřební chemie, má jeho používání významné dopady na životní prostředí. V této práci jsou nejdříve vymezeny základní druhy a funkce obalu. Dále se práce zaměřuje na možnosti zmírnění environmentálních dopadů obalů prostřednictvím vhodné volby a úspory obalových materiálů u primárních obalů pro výrobky spotřební chemie. Ve druhé části práce jsou na základě kvantitativního výzkumu zhodnoceny postoje českých spotřebitelů k obalům pro spotřební chemii se zaměřením na volbu obalového materiálu a možnosti úspory obalových materiálů.

Abstract:

Many packaging is currently only disposable, and as packaging is an integral part of most consumer chemistry products, its use has significant environmental impacts. In this work, the basic types and functions of packaging are first defined. Furthermore, the work focuses on the possibilities of mitigating the environmental impacts of packaging through the appropriate choice and savings of packaging materials for primary packaging for consumer chemistry products. In the second part of the work, based on quantitative research, the attitudes of Czech consumers to packaging for consumer chemistry are evaluated, focusing on the choice of packaging material and the possibility of saving packaging materials.
