Abstract:

Tématem mé diplomové práce je veřejný prostor. Tato práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. Teoretická část je zaměřena na veřejný prostor, jeho vývoj, typologii a tvorbu. Jedním z mých cílů bylo zabývat se problematikou a regulací veřejného prostoru. Popsala jsem aktuální problémy veřejných prostorů, kde jsem se následně zaměřila na problém nerovnoměrnosti péče a opomíjená místa. Dále jsem se věnovala nákupním centrům, která jsou podobná veřejným prostranstvím, ale fungují pod jinými pravidly, přitahují odlišný typ uživatelů a nahrazují tak legitimní veřejné prostory. Následně jsem se zajímala o veřejný prostor v době pandemie, jeho proměny, konkrétní příklady proměn a regulace veřejného prostoru v pandemii v České republice. V praktické části jsem provedla dva výzkumy, které navazovaly na poznatky z části teoretické, a dospěla k následujícím cílům. V prvním výzkumném šetření, který se týkal rozhovoru s vedoucím Odboru památkové péče města Plzně, jsem se dozvěděla, že se památková péče vyjadřuje k veřejnému prostoru v situacích, kdy jsou v určité věci dotčeným orgánem státní správy a vlivem pandemie se v rámci systému využití veřejný prostor nijak zvlášť nezměnil. Druhý výzkum byl proveden online dotazníkovým šetřením s obyvateli města Písek a dozvěděla jsem se, že obyvatelé nezaznamenali výrazný vliv na veřejný prostor vlivem pandemie a z je patrné, že jsou respondenti s veřejným prostorem ve městě spokojeni a prostor funguje, jak má.

Abstract:

The topic of my thesis is public space. This thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part is focused on public space, its development, typology and creation. One of my goals was to deal with the issues and regulation of public space. I described the current problems of public spaces, where I then focused on the problem of uneven care and neglected places. I also looked at shopping malls, which are similar to public spaces but operate under different rules, attracting a different type of user and thus replacing legitimate public spaces. Subsequently, I was interested in public space in the pandemic, its transformations, specific examples of transformations and regulation of public space in the pandemic in the Czech Republic. In the practical part, I conducted two researches that built on the findings of the theoretical part and arrived at the following objectives. In the first research investigation, which involved an interview with the head of the Department of Monument Conservation of the City of Pilsen, I learned that the conservation authorities comment on public space in situations where they are the state authority concerned in a particular matter and the influence of the pandemic has not changed public space within the system of use in any particular way. The second research was conducted through an online questionnaire survey with the residents of the city of Písek and I learned that the residents did not notice a significant impact on the public space due to the pandemic and it is evident that the respondents are satisfied with the public space in the city and the space is functioning as it should.
