Kompartmentové modely byly dlouhou dobu využívány zejména pro predikci šíření epidemických onemocnění ve velkých populacích V této práci jsme se zaměřili na jejich využití v onkologii a dále na optimalizaci těchto modelů, k čemuž jsme využili Newtonovu metodu a metodu simplexů. Compartmental models are used to model the progress of epidemic in a large population. In this thesis we tried to use these models in oncology to model cancer dynamics. We tried to optimize the models in order to get good results by comparing real and our experimental data. We used the Newton´s method as well as simplex method.
