Bakalářská práce si klade za cíl v tvorbě Arthura Schopenhauera a Thomase Manna porovnat témata zabývající se umělcem, uměleckou tvorbou, krásou, estetikou a náměty s nimi úzce souvisejícími. Rovněž si dává za úkol přiblížit vztah obou autorů a zjistit, do jaké míry se Mann nechává Schopenhauerem inspirovat a ovlivnit. Abstract:
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to compare the work of Arthur Schopenhauer and Thomas Mann in themes related to the artist, creation, beauty, aesthetics and other topics closely related to them. It also seeks to get closer to the relationship of both authors and find out to what extent Mann was inspired and influenced by Schopenhauer.
