The economic situation of the waste management company

Abstract:

Ekonomická situace podniku odpadového hospodářství. Diplomová práce. Brno: Mendelova univerzita v Brně, 2022. Diplomová práce analyzuje situaci vybrané rodinné firmy podnikající v oblasti odpadového hospodářství a předkládá vhodné návrhy pro ni. Oblast odpadového hospodářství prochází v současnosti velkými změnami v souvislosti s přechodem na cirkulární hospodářství. Základní myšlenkou je, že odpady se stávají surovinami. Neměly by se likvidovat, ale navracet do výroby. Práce proto shrnuje poznatky o cirkulárním hospodářství, jeho trendy a strategická a legislativní východiska. Dále se práce zaměřuje na teoretická východiska analýzy situace a její dílčí analýzy, tj. analýzu vnějšího prostředí a analýzu vnitřního prostředí, metody a techniky, které se v jejich rámci používají, způsoby syntetického vyhodnocení dílčích analýz a možné strategie. Analýza vybrané firmy danými postupy vyhodnocuje její situaci a na základě zjištění je zvolen základní strategický směr, strategie a následně je vytvořeno devět návrhů pro firmu.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2022. The diploma thesis analyses the situation of a selected family business in the field of waste management and presents suitable proposals for it. The field of waste management is currently undergoing major changes in connection with the transition to a circular economy. The basic idea is that wastes become raw materials. They should not be disposed of, but returned to production. The work therefore summarizes knowledge about the circular economy, its trends and strategic and legislative starting points. Furthermore, the work focuses on the theoretical basis of situation analysis and its sub-analyses, i. e. analysis of the external environment and analysis of the internal environment, methods and techniques used within them, methods of synthetic evaluation of sub-analyses and possible strategies. The analysis of the selected company by the given procedures evaluates its situation, and based on the findings, a basic strategic direction and strategy is chosen, and nine proposals for the company are subsequently created.
