The attitude of social workers of the department of social and league protection of children in setting personal boundaries when working with clients

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit jaký je postoj sociálních pracovníků orgánu sociálně právní ochrany dětí k nastavování osobních hranic při práci s klienty. V teoretické části práce se zaměřuji na uchopení pojmů z hlediska odborné literatury. Jedná se o teoretické uchopení sociálně právní ochrany děti, hranic v sociální práci, profesní role a definice postoje z hlediska jeho složek. V metodologické části práce jsou popsány využité metody a postup kvalitativního výzkumu. Interpretační část popisuje samotný výzkum a v závěru práce je zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka ,,Jaký je postoj sociálních pracovníků oddělení sociálně právní ochrany dětí k nastavování osobních hranic při práci s klienty?“ a reprezentace výsledků. Z mé práce bylo zjištěno, že sociální pracovníci oddělení sociálně právní ochrany dětí zaujímají k nastavování hranic při práci s klienty postoj, že z pohledu teorie hovoří o významnosti a důležitosti hranic, ale z pohledu praxe s nastavováním hranic vědomě nepracují. Postoj sociálních pracovníků k nastavování hranic při práci s klienty je značně ovlivněn zkušenostmi a jejich přístup je nereflektovaný.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to determine the attitude of social workers within the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children on the issue of setting personal boundaries with clients. The theoretical section of this work focuses on outlining facts from published literature. This includes; a theoretical grasp of social and legal protection of children, boundaries in social work, description of a professional role and a legal definition of attitude in terms of its components. The methodological section describes the procedures used, as well as the process of qualitative research. The interpretive part discusses the main outcomes of the research in detail. Finally, the primary research question ,,What is the attitude of social workers within the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children on the issue of setting personal boundaries with clients?” is resolved in the conclusion. From my thesis was determined that social workers of the Department of Social and Legal Protection of Children take the attitude of setting personal boundaries with work with clients that from the point of view of theory they talk about the significance and importance of boundaries. But from the point of view of practice they do not consciously work with boundaries. The attitude of social workers to setting boundaries when working with clients is greatly influenced by experience and their approach is unreflected.
