Managerial decision-making on expanding the family business portfolio

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou manažerského rozhodování o rozšíření portfolia rodinné firmy. Cílem práce je pomocí manažerského rozhodování a jeho metod a postupů dojít k doporučení zavedení nového konkrétního produktu či služby. Dílčí cílem je osvojit si metody a postupy manažerského rozhodování, dále výběr metody výzkumu a aplikace dodatečných metod vedoucí ke konkrétnímu návrhu řešení. Podkladem pro učinění rozhodnutí je nejen získání dat v rámci brainstormingu, ale propojení těchto dat s dalšími postupy a informacemi. Informace jsou získány v rámci teoretického základu a analýzy sekundárních dat, taktéž díky četným rozhovorům s majitelem společnosti, který o realizaci konečného projektu rozhoduje. V návaznosti na využití pravidel a metod rozhodování typických pro manažerské rozhodování je navržena konkrétní služba k realizaci.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on an issue of managerial decision-making on the expansion of the family business portfolio. The aim of the thesis is to use managerial decision-making and its methods to recommend a implementation of a new specific product or service. Secondary goals are to master the methods of managerial decision-making, to select the research method and to apply additional methods leading to a specific proposition. The foundation for decision-making is not only the acquisition of data within the brainstorming method but linking this data with the information obtained. Information was obtained within the theoretical part, from the analysis of secondary data, from numerous interviews with the company owner, who decides on the implementation of the final project. A specific service is proposed for implementation based on the outcome from decision-making methods typical for managerial decision-making.
