Práce si klade za cíl frekvenční analýzu deminutivních výrazů ve vybraných anglických knihách pro děti a jejich překladech. Množství deminutiv v jednotlivých knihách je porovnáno s množstvím v původní české literatuře, hledající odchylky od frekvence běžné pro český jazyk. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the frequency of diminutive expressions in selected English children’s literature. The diminutive frequency is compared in both trans-lated and original texts is compared to the one of original Czech texts.
