Facilitated Learning at Primary School

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá tématem podpory učení žáků na prvním stupni. Cílem teoretické části je objasnit pojem a význam výukového scaffoldingu, definovat proces a průběh učení, zaměřit se na žákovu motivaci k učení a především přiblížit druhy podpory žákova učení, které budou zkoumány i v empirické části práce. Opomenuta také není kapitola věnující se učení na dálku, která je do práce zařazena z aktuálních pandemických důvodů, které se odrazily na současné situaci českého školství. Empirická část se pak zaměřuje na konkrétní typy podpory žákova učení, sleduje, jakou konkrétní podporu mohou nabídnout učitelé prvního stupně svým žákům, jak se tato podpora liší v online režimu oproti běžné prezenční výuce a jak distanční výuku vnímají samotní žáci. Výzkum odhaluje nedostatky online výuky, upozorňuje na možná rizika, ale také vyzdvihuje určitá pozitiva. Výzkumná část kombinovala metody kvalitativního a kvantitativního charakteru a má podobu smíšeného designu.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of supporting the learning of pupils in the first stage. The theoretical part aims to clarify the concept and meaning of scaffolding strategy, to define the process and course of learning, focus on the student's motivation to learn, and especially to approach the types of support for student's learning, which will be examined in the empirical part of the work. The chapter devoted to distance learning is also not neglected, which is included in the work due to current pandemic reasons, which have affected the current situation of Czech education. The empirical part then focuses on specific types of support for student learning, monitors what specific support first-grade teachers can offer to their students, how this support differs in the online mode compared to regular full-time teaching and how distance learning is perceived by students themselves. Research reveals the shortcomings of online teaching, highlights possible risks, but also highlights certain positives. The research part combined methods of qualitative and quantitative character and takes the form of a mixed design.
