Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem této práce bylo zjistit a porovnat potřeby seniorů v jejich přirozeném sociálním prostředí a v prostředí pobytového zařízení sociálních služeb a zjistit, zda nenaplněné potřeby mají vliv na výskyt deprese u seniorů. Metodika: Pro výzkum byly zvoleny dva standardizované dotazníky: GDS - Škála deprese pro geriatrické pacienty (Geriatric depression scale), zjišťující u seniorů míru deprese a PNAP - zjišťující důležitost a naplněnost potřeb pacientů v paliativní péči (The Problems and Needs in Palliative Care questionnaire). Výzkumu se zúčastnilo 84 respondentů, 53 dotázaných bylo z pobytového zařízení a 31 z domácího prostředí. Sběr dat probíhal od července do prosince 2012, analýza dat v lednu až březnu 2013. Výsledky Hodnocením dotazníku GDS bylo zjištěno, že depresí trpí více ženy, větší depresivita byla potvrzena u seniorů v institucionální péči. Dotazník PNAP ověřil, že není rozdíl v důležitosti potřeb, ale v jejich naplněnosti, a to u obou výzkumných souborů. Nejdůležitějšími potřebami dotázaných byly potřeby fyzické a potřeba autonomie, za nejméně důležité považovali potřeby duchovní. Potvrdilo se, že v přirozeném prostředí jsou respondenti více spokojeni a byla prokázána souvislost mezi nenaplněnými potřebami a výskytem deprese u seniorů. Závěr: Kvalita života pacientů a jejich rodin je zásadním kritériem při poskytování paliativní péče. Aktuálně nabývá na významu poskytování této péče u neonkologicky nemocných v pokročilém stadiu choroby, neboť tito nemocní budou nadále tvořit nejpočetnější skupinu osob, závislých na pomoci druhých osob. Práce se stěžejně zabývala problematikou paliativní péče, jejím dalším rozvojem zejména v zařízeních sociální péče a v rámci domácí péče, s důrazem na důležitost a naplněnost potřeb uživatelů.

Abstract:

Objective: The aim of this study was to determine and compare needs of seniors in their family environment and needs of seniors living in residential sanitary facilities, to find if unfulfilled needs affect the incidence of depression of seniors. Methodology: For the research two standardized questionnaires were selected : GDS - Depression Scale for Geriatric Patients (Geriatric Depression Scale), detecting level of depression and PNAP- detecting importance and fulfillment of needs for patients in palliative care (The Problems and Needs in Palliative Care questionnaire). 84 respondents participated in the research, 53 respondents were living in the residential sanitary facility and 31 in their family environment. Data were collected from July to December 2012, analysis of data from January to March 2013. Results: The evaluation of GDS questionnaire found that depression affects more women, and confirmed that seniors living in institutional care suffer from depression more than seniors living in home. PNPA questionnaire verified that between both research files there is no difference in the importance of the needs, but in their fulfillment. The most important needs were physical needs and the need for autonomy, spiritual needs were the least important ones. It was confirmed that respondents are more satisfied in their families environment and the relationship between the incidence of depression and unfulfilled needs of seniors was found. Conclusion: Quality of life of patients and their families is a basic criterion in providing palliative care. Currently importance is to provide this care for non-oncology patients with advanced stage of disease, because these patients will form the largest group of people depending on the help of others. This study mainly dealt with the issue of palliative care, the further development of social care especially in residential sanitary facilitis and home care and emphasized the importance and fulfillment of needs for seniors.
