Integrated education of disabled children in a normal school

Abstract:

Integrované vzdělávání žáků se zdravotním postižením v běžné škole je název diplomové práce, která je zaměřena na charakteristiku integračního procesu probíhajícího ve třídě běžné základní školy. V teoretické části práce jsou vymezeny pojmy zdravotní postižení, ucelená rehabilitace a školská integrace, dále je charakterizována kvalita života dětí se zdravotním postižením, legislativa týkající se integrativního vzdělávání v České republice, jsou popsány podmínky integrace a vzhledem k případovým studiím také tři vybrané druhy zdravotního postižení. Výzkumná část se zabývá konkrétním integračním procesem, kvalitativně zkoumá podmínky poskytované školou žákům se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami při jejich výchově a vzdělávání. Na základě dotazníkového šetření diplomová práce hodnotí kvalitu vztahů v rámci třídního kolektivu, kde jsou žáci se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami integrováni a zabývá se také hypotézou, zdali má druh a hloubka postižení zásadní vliv na postavení žáka se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami v kolektivu třídy.

Abstract:

Integrated education of disabled children in a normal school is the title of my diploma thesis which focuses on the characteristics of the integration process taking place in a class at an ordinary primary school. The theoretical part defines the notions of disability, overall rehabilitation and school integration; it further depicts the disabled children's quality of life, deals with the legislation regulating the integrated education in the Czech Republic, describes the conditions of integration as well as three particular kinds of disability as per the case studies. The research part deals with a particular integration process and involves a qualitative investigation into the conditions provided by the school to pupils with special educational needs as a part of their education. The work draws on the questionnaire survey and evaluates the quality of the relations within the class where pupils with special educational needs are integrated and deals with the question whether the kind and severity of disability exerts a decisive influence upon the position held by the pupil with special educational needs within the class. 64
