Diplomová práce se zabývá současnou právní úpravou opatření ukládané mladistvým pachatelům s detailním zaměřením na trestní opatře-ní odnětí svobody jako prostředku ultima ratio. Jednotlivé uváděné právní pojmy a instituty jsou popsány z pohledu platné právní úpravy na území České republiky a následně komparovány s úpravou Spolkové republiky Německo.
