Gas pressure regulation in vessels

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá testováním funkcí a principů řízení několika elektricky ovládaných pneumatických ventilů, které se mohu nalézt využití například v oblasti zdravotnictví. Práce seznamuje s principy měření krevního tlaku a využití regulace tlaku u hyperbarické komory a umělé plicní ventilace. Dále práce zmiňuje různorodé metody pro stabilizaci regulátoru, představuje použité ventily a snímače tlaku. Jsou představeny návrhy a dimenzování obvodů pro jednotlivé ventily a senzoru zapojených v pneumatickém obvodu. Z měření zkonstruovaného systému jsou vyhodnocovány různé parametry, vlastnosti jednotlivých komponent a vzájemné ovlivnění mezi nimi. Následně představuje mikrokontroler, naprogramovaný řídící algoritmus systému s použitím principu hystereze a komunikaci s počítačem po sériové lince UART/USART. Také představuje program pro uživatelské rozhraní pro řízení tlaku a zobrazování informací o řízeném procesu. Závěrem práce popisuje zhodnocuje funkčnost celého systému.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the testing of the functions and control principles of several electrically operated pneumatic valves, which may find application in, for example, the medical field. The thesis introduces the principles of blood pressure measurement and the use of pressure control in hyperbaric chamber and artificial lung ventilation. Furthermore, the thesis mentions various methods for regulator stabilization, and presents the valves and pressure sensors used. The design and dimensioning of circuits for each valve and sensor involved in the pneumatic circuit are introduced. From the measurements of the engineered system, various parameters, properties of the components and the interaction between them are evaluated. Then it presents the microcontroller, the programmed control algorithm of the system using the hysteresis principle and the communication with the computer via UART/USART serial link. It also presents the user interface program for pressure control and display of information about the controlled process. Finally, the thesis describes the performance evaluation of the whole system.
