Smyslem a cílem práce je zjistit, nakolik je stávající úprava nařízení Řím I využitelná a vhodná pro oblast dokumentárního akreditivu. Stejně tak je prací ozřejměno, nakolik je aplikace nařízení Řím I vzhledem k typu unifikace a v souvislosti s charakterem nestátní úpravy dokumentárního akreditivu pro předmětnou oblast skutečně potřebná. The purpose and aim of the thesis is to determine the suitability of the Rome I Regulation for regulating documentary credit transactions. The thesis also clarifies, if the application of the Rome I Regulation is for documentary credit transactions really needed (while taking into account the type of unification of the Rome I Regulation in connection with the nature of UCP).
