This work deals with euthanasia in the broader context of its ethical and legal aspects. The issue of euthanasia is discussed, because it touches on one of the fundamental human rights, and the right to live. In the Czech Republic in addition to several attempts to legalize euthanasia we cannot find any legislation that would address euthanasia or assisted suicide.
