The Civil society and participation in the town of Kuřim

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá občanskou společností a participací ve městě Kuřimi. V teoretické části jsou představeny a vysvětleny pojmy jako konkrétně občan, občanství, občanská společnost či participace. Pojmy jsou obohaceny o jejich vývoj a i o to, jak byly chápány v historii. Participace je termín, který představuje spolupodílení na tvoření občanské společnosti, tedy volební účast na komunálních volbách. V praktické části se práce věnuje historii města, ale i analýze kuřimské společnosti. Konkrétně činnosti spolků, škol, církve. Nakonec je analyzována volební účast v komunálních volbách ve městě Kuřimi.

Abstract:

The theoretical part introduces and explaines concepts like citizen, citizenship, civil society or participation. The concepts are enriched with their development and how they were understood in history. Participation is a term which represents partaking in creating the civil society and thus the election participation in the municipal elections. In the practical part the thesis deals with the history of the town, but also with the analysis of the Kuřim society. In particular, with activities of associations, schools, churches. Finally, the participation in the municipal elections in the town of Kuřim is analysed.
