Possibilities and forms of palliative care in practice

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je prací teoreticko-výzkumnou. Teoretická východiska pro výzkumnou část vycházejí z detailního popisu problematiky umírání a smrti, definice, historie, možností a forem paliativní péče, poskytování paliativní péče v ČR a ve světě z dostupné relevantní literatury a výzkumů. V neposlední řadě se zaměřuje na rodinu jako součást paliativní péče a možnosti a způsoby financování paliativní péče. Ve výzkumné části jsou pomocí dotazníkového šetření zkoumány zkušenosti, potřeby a okolnosti péče u rodin, o jejichž blízké bylo pečováno v domácím prostředí. Pro zvýšení validity získaných dat je použit kvalitativní výzkum pomocí hloubkových rozhovorů, které poskytují detailnější informace o potřebách a zkušenostech pečujících.

Abstract:

This thesis is the work of theoretical research. The theoretical basis for the research part based on a detailed description of dying and death, definitions, history, possibilities and forms of palliative care, palliative care in the Czech Republic and in the world of available relevant literature and research. Finally, it focuses on the family as part of palliative care options and funding of palliative care. In the research section through a questionnaire survey examined experiences, needs and circumstances of care for families whose loved ones were cared for at home. To increase the validity of the data, qualitative research is used through in-depth interviews, which provide more detailed information on the needs and experiences of caring.
