Comparison of methods used for teaching reading and writing at primary school

Abstract:

Obsah diplomové práce je věnován problematice prvopočátečního čtení a psaní, přičemž pozornost je zaměřena zejména na současné metody užívané ve výuce. Teoretická část obsahuje teoretická východiska ke zvolené problematice, přehled historických metod elementárního čtení a psaní, popis aktuálně používaných metod a také několik námětů z alternativní pedagogiky. Cílem diplomové práce je zmapovat nejčastěji využívané metody čtení a psaní na vybraných základních školách v Ústeckém kraji. Empirickou část tvoří výzkum, který byl realizován prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření. Respondenty výzkumu jsou pedagogové se zkušenostmi s výukou čtení a psaní v prvních ročnících, kteří v současnosti působí na základní škole se sídlem v Ústeckém kraji. V empirické části je také do dvou grafů zpracováno zastoupení výukových metod podle jednotlivých okresů. V závěru jsou porovnávány výsledky realizovaného šetření se současnými poznatky a na jejich základě jsou navržena možná řešení problému a formulována doporučení do pedagogické praxe.

Abstract:

Content of the thesis is dedicated to solve problems of elementary reading and writing and the main focus is on currently used methods in education. The theoretical part includes theoretical solutions, overview of historical methods of elementary reading and writing, characterization of currently used methods and few topics from alternative pedagogy. The thesis tries to map commonly used methods of reading and writing used on elementary schools around Ústecký kraj. The empirical part contains questionnaire-based research using teachers with experiences with reading and writing on primary school around Ústecký kraj as respondents. The empirical part also contains two graph representation of education methods sorted by districts in Ústecký kraj. The focus of the final part compares results of the research with current findings and presents possible practical solutions and recommendations.
