Thomas Hardy - His Heroines and Real Women
Abstract:
The undergraduate thesis concentrates on the connection between real women in Thomas Hardy's life and the heroines of his novels, namely Bathsheba Everdene in Far from the Madding Crowd and Tess Durbeyfield in Tess of the d'Urbervilles, and it ascertains whether the heroines behaved according to the Victorian order and what effect it had on them.
Abstract:
Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na spojení mezi skutečnými ženami ze života Thomase Hardyho a jeho románovými hrdinkami, jmenovitě Bathshebou Everdeneovou z románu Daleko od hlučícího davu a Tessou Durbeyfieldovou z románu Tess z rodu d'Urbervillů a dále zjišťuje, zda se tyto hrdinky chovaly podle pravidel viktoriánské doby a jaký to na ně mělo vliv.
