Teaching methods developing students' critical thinking in the teaching of Czech language and literature at the 2nd grade of elementary school

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zpracována na téma metody výuky rozvíjející kritické myšlení na 2. stupni základních škol v Moravskoslezském kraji. Teoretická část se věnuje definicí pojmu metody výuky se zaměřením na klasifikaci metod výuky dle Maňáka a Švece (2003) a upřesňuje pojem vzdělávání žáků se specifickými poruchami učení. Dále se zabývá upřesněním pojmu pedagogická komunikace. V oblasti kritického myšlení se zaměřuje na historii kritického myšlení a edukační praxi, u níž upřesňuje Bloomovu taxonomii. V diplomové práci je popsán model E-U-R, který je základem pro výstavbu lekce dle principů RWCT. Práce se také zabývá popisem jednotlivých metod výuky podporující rozvoj kritického myšlení. Diplomová práce dále představuje program Čtením a psaním ke kritickému myšlení a také projekt Pomáháme školám k úspěchu. Následně popisuje, jaké jsou organizační formy výuky, které mohou učitelé využívat. Cílem empirické části je zjistit, které metody RWCT jsou ve výuce Českého jazyka a literatury nejčastěji používané a které metody RWCT vedou ke zvýšení zájmu žáků o aktuální téma.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on methods of teaching aimed at developing critical thinking at the secondary level of elementary schools in the Moravian-Silesian region. The theoretical part deals with defining teaching methods, focusing on the classification of teaching methods according to Maňák & Švec, 2003, and specifies the concept of educating students with specific learning disabilities. It also addresses the concept of pedagogical communication. In the area of critical thinking, it examines the history of critical thinking and educational practices, clarifying Bloom's taxonomy. The thesis describes the E-U-R model, which serves as the basis for constructing a lesson according to the principles of RWCT. Additionally, it discusses various teaching methods that support the development of critical thinking. The thesis introduces readers to the Reading and Writing for Critical Thinking program and the Helping Schools Succeed project. It also describes organizational forms of teaching that teachers can utilize. The aim of the empirical part is to determine which RWCT methods are most commonly used in the teaching of Czech language and literature and which RWCT methods lead to an increase in students' interest in current topics.
