Ticketing information systems for IT support and their comparison

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na oblast IT podpory, konkrétně na interní IT podporu poskytující podporu zaměstnancům podniku. Na trhu je nabízeno velké množství tiketovacích informačních systémů, proto je komplikované se v takto rozsáhlé nabídce systémů zorientovat. Na základě této skutečnosti, je cílem práce nalézt nejlepší tiketovací informační systém pro interní IT podporu poskytující podporu zaměstnancům podniku. Kritéria pro hodnocení systémů jsou definována na základě potřeb vyplývajících z fungování IT podpory. Tiketovací informační systémy určené pro porovnání byly vybrány podle četnosti zmínek ve vybraných zdrojích zabývající se nejlepšími tiketovacími informačními systémy. Tyto zdroje nesměly mít datum vydání starší než 2 roky k 1. 1. 2021. K systémům, vybraným podle zmíněné metodiky, byly přidány 2 systémy vyvíjené českými společnostmi. Hodnocení probíhalo především na základě osobního testovaní těchto systémů autorem. Výsledkem tohoto porovnání, a tudíž i této práce je, že nejlepším tiketovacím informačním systémem pro interní IT podporu poskytující podporu zaměstnancům podniku je systém Jira Service Management.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is focused on the area of IT support, specifically is focused on a theme of internal IT support that supports a company's own employees. Many ticketing information systems are offered on the market. For this reason, is complicated to become acquainted with all offers on the market. The main objective of this bachelor thesis is to find the best ticketing information system suitable for internal IT support that supports the company's own employees. Criteria defined for evaluating ticketing systems are based on IT support needs. The ticketing systems for comparison were selected according to a frequency of mentions in sources about the best ticketing information systems. The date of publication of the sources must not have been older than 2 years as of 1.1.2021. 2 systems developed by Czech companies were added to the group of systems chosen by the described approach. An evaluation is based mainly on testing these systems by the author himself. The outcome of this comparison and this bachelor thesis is that the best ticketing information system for internal IT support that supports the company's own employees is a system called Jira Service Management.
