The comprehensive socio-economic analysis of the Liberec region, focusing on changes in the structure of selected sectors in economic base of the region

Abstract:

Předkládaná diplomová práce přináší analytický pohled na vybrané socioekonomické ukaza-tele a disparity v Libereckém kraji. Práce hodnotí jak postavení regionu v rámci souboru krajů ČR, tak i z vnitřního členění podle jednotlivých mikroregionů, jakými jsou okresy a správní obvody ORP. Dílčí zaměření práce předpokládá analýzu transformace struktury zpracovatelského průmyslu. Zpracovatelský průmysl měl a má v kraji zásadní postavení v oblasti zaměstnanosti. Liberecký kraj, stejně jako řada ostatních regionů v celé střední a východní Evropě prošel po celospolečenských změnách na konci 80. let dynamickou proměnou struktury hospodářství, která by měla být zmapována. Práce je doplněna vlastním šetře-ním ekonomických ukazatelů zpracovatelského průmyslu kraje v letech 2011 a 2012, které částečně kompenzuje absentující statistická data.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis provides an analytical view of selected socio-economic indicators and disparity in the Liberec region. The work evaluates the position of the region within the set of regions of the Czech Republic and internally breakdown by micro-regions such as admin-istrative districts and ORP. Fractional specialization of labor assumes an analysis of the transformation the structure of the processor industry. Processor industry has and had a fun-damental position in employment of the region. Liberec Region, as well as many other re-gions in central and eastern Europe suffered after social transitions in the late 80s dynamic change in the structure economy, which should be mapped. The work is supplemented by own investigation of economic indicators of the manufacturing industry in 2011 and 2012, which partially compensates the missing statistical data.
