Education of children with severe mental disabilities

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o výchově dětí s těžším mentálním postižením. V teoretické části se zabývám základním pojetím mentální retardace, problematikou těžšího mentálního postižení u dětí, jeho specifikami, příčinami vzniku, stupni. Dále se zaměřuji na pojetí výchovy, jaké jsou její cíle, obsahy, výsledky výchovy a uvádím specifické metody ve výchově těchto dětí. V poslední kapitole teoretické části poukazuji na výchovu, jako rozvoj dětí s těžším mentálním postižením, který začíná výchovou v rodinném prostředí, prochází obdobím rané péče, předškolní výchovy a končí školní výchovou. Praktická část obsahuje osm kazuistik žáků s těžkým mentálním postižením rehabilitační třídy a rozhovory s pěti pracovníky denního stacionáře Salome. S cílem komparace podmínek a výsledků výchovy v obou zařízeních.

Abstract:

Bachelor's thesis discusses about the education of children with heavy mental disabilities. In the theoretical part I deal with the basic concept of mental retardation, the issue of the heavier of mental disability in children, its specifics, causes of formation, degree. Furthermore, I focus on the concept of education, what are its aims, contents, results of education and I present the specific method in the upbringing of these children. In the last chapter of the theoretical part I am referring to education, such as the development of children with heavy mental disabilities, that starts with education in a family environment, going through a period of early care, pre-school education and ending school education. The practical part contains eight case interpretation pupils with severe mental disabilities from rehabilitation class and interviews with five workers, the daily care centers Salome. With the aim of comparison of conditions and outcomes of education in both the devices.
