The central purpose of this bachelor's thesis is to point out and analyze the difficult struggle of Afro-Caribbean community, which decided to start a new life in the United Kingdom after World War II. The introductory chapters offer the reader a brief history of the first occurrence of black inhabitants in Britain, early immigration, the slave trade and the period of the World War I.
