Approaches to physical activity of children in public and forest kindergartens

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá pohybovou aktivitou dětí ve veřejných a lesních mateřských školách. Hlavním cílem této práce bylo zjistit zastoupení pohybové aktivity ve zvolených veřejných a lesních mateřských školách. Dalším cílem bylo zjistit nejčastěji volené typy pohybové aktivity. Teoretická část je zastoupena shrnutím poznatků o veřejné a lesní mateřské škole. Součástí je také vymezení pojmů o rozvoji pohybové aktivity dětí a možnostmi výuky ve venkovním prostředí. K realizaci kvantitativně orientovaného výzkumu jsem použila metodu časového snímku dne, jejíž formulář vyplnily paní učitelky veřejných a lesích mateřských škol. Výsledky ukázaly, že průměrná denní pohybová aktivita dětí v lesních mateřských školách činí 103,6 min a ve veřejných 95,6 min. Pohybová aktivita dětí je tedy výše zastoupena v lesních mateřských školách. Nejčastěji volenými pohybovými aktivitami ve veřejných mateřských školách jsou pohybové hry a rozcvička. V lesních mateřských školách to jsou také pohybové hry, ale i cyklovýlety a stavění domků z přírodnin. Záznamy také ukázaly, že více času ve venkovním prostředí tráví jednoznačně lesní mateřské školy. V tomto případě můžeme tedy vyvodit závěr, že pobyt ve venkovním prostředí pozitivně ovlivňuje míru pohybové aktivity.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the physical activity of children in public and forest kindergartens. The main aim of this work was to determine the representation of physical activity in selected public and forest kindergartens. Another aim was to find out the most frequently chosen types of physical activity. The theoretical part is represented by a summary of knowledge about public and forest kindergarten and it also includes the definition of concepts about the development of children's physical activity and the possibilities of teaching in the outdoor environment. To carry out quantitatively oriented research, the method of time-lapse of the day had been used, whose form was filled in by teachers of public and forest kindergartens. The results showed that the average daily children's physical activity in forest kindergartens is 103.6 minutes and 95.6 minutes in public kindergartens, therefore, the children's physical activity is higher in forest kindergartens. The most frequently chosen physical activities in public kindergartens are movement games and warm-up, however movement games are also frequently chosen in forest kindergartens as well as bicycle trips and the construction of houses made out of natural products. Records have also shown that more time outdoors is spend by forest kindergartens. In conclusion, the level of physical activity is positively affected by the outdoor environment.
