Turgenev and his conception of nihilism (on the basis of his novels On the Eve and Fathers and Sons)
Abstract:
Diplomová práce se zabývá vztahem Ivana S. Turgeněva k ruské radikální demokracii konce 50. a začátku 60. let 19. stol. Významný ruský spisovatel napsal o této ideové tendenci v daném období dva romány – V předvečer (1859) a Otcové a děti (1862). Cílem práce je zanalyzovat oba zmíněné texty. Na základě toho bude možné charakterizovat postoj Turgeněva k ruským nihilistům.
Abstract:
This diploma thesis focuses on Ivan S. Turgenev’s relationship to Russian revolutionary democracy in the late 1850s and early 1860s. In a certain period, significant Russian author wrote about democratic ideological tendency two novels – On the Eve (1859) and Fathers and Sons (1862).
