Scouting as an educational movement which helps the development of language, culture and social skills in children and youth and its tradition in the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on the historical development of the Scouting movement in the United Kingdom and the Czech Republic. The thesis also covers the tradition of the organisation and its effects on the development of language, culture, social and physical skills in children and youth. The research part then describes and follows the description of a variety of positive effects on members of the movement with qualitative evidence from interviews conducted with Scouts throughout the Czech Republic.

Abstract:

Tato práce se zaměřuje na historický vývoj Skautského hnutí ve Velké Británii a České republice. Téma práce take zahrnuje tradici této organizace a její vliv na vývoj jazyka, sociálních, fyzických dovedností a kulturního povědomí u dětí a mládeže. Výzkumná část dále popisuje a sleduje popis pozitivního vlivu, které byly popsány v rozhovorech s členy hnutí napříč Českou Republikou.
