Web presentations: Web design through the lens of new technologies

Abstract:

Submitted bachelor’s thesis deals with the means of expression in web design in the context of technological development from the creation of the World wide web to present time. It is comprised of two parts – the theoretical framework and the production of a web design project. The first part deals with the development of the web, web design‘s means of expression and current trends. The underlying connection of these chapters is the evolution of technologies and their impact on said areas. Explored topics are then used in a real work experience situation, the production of the fulldome.cz web site. The process itself is split into several phases. The preparatory phases of discovery and exploration deal with the first steps to take in the production of the site. Complete clarification of all aspects of the project is the main objective here. All the inputs are then processed in the production phase into wireframes, graphic designs and finally a first working version of the site. Launch and optimization phases then explore the problems of finding a web hosting, domain name, developing security measures and the adaptation to mobile phone screens. The goal of the author is to show the ideas described in the theoretical part in a real situation in this way.

Abstract:

Predložená praktická bakalárska práca sa zaoberá výrazovými prostriedkami web designu v kontexte vývoja technológií od vzniku systému World wide web až po súčasnosť. Skladá sa z dvoch častí – teoretického ukotvenia a tvorby webového projektu. V teoretickej časti autor približuje historický vývoj webu, výrazové prostriedky web designu a súčasné trendy. Spoločnou významovou líniou týchto častí je vývoj technológií a ich vplyv na preskúmané oblasti. V praktickej časti práce sú opísané poznatky využité v praxi pre tvorbu webového projektu fulldome.cz. Samotný proces je rozfázovaný do niekoľkých častí. Prípravné fázy podkladov, určenia a prieskumu sa zaoberajú prvotnými krokmi pri tvorbe web stránky. V tejto časti je hlavnou úlohou web designéra ujasniť si všetky potrebné náležitosti projektu. Vo fázi produkcie sú všetky vstupy spracované do drátových modelov, grafického návrhu a nakoniec fungujúcej základnej verzie stránky. Fázy spustenia a optimalizácie predstavujú aspekty výberu hostingu, domény, zaistenia bezpečnosti pred útokmi a následnej úpravy stránky pre zobrazovanie na mobilných telefónoch. Cieľom autora je týmto spôsobom priblížiť poznatky z teoretickej časti na reálnom príklade z praxe.
