Game theory and its application in management

Abstract:

Teorie her je matematická metoda řešení situací s konfliktními zájmy. Podnikové prostředí nabízí bezpočet příkladů takových situací, kdy je třeba reagovat na změny způsobené rozhodnutím někoho jiného, nebo sám změny iniciovat. Použití teorie her jako nástroje pro analýzu a hlubší porozumění situacím, kterým manažer čelí ve své praxi, a následně i pro lepší rozhodování, je tedy zcela žádoucí. V rámci práce je řešeno použití teorie her pro běžné situace v řízení podniku a následně i způsob, jakým efektivně zajistit rozvoj znalostí teoretických základů a schopnost je prakticky používat u manažerů podniku.

Abstract:

Game theory is a mathematical method to deal with conflicting interests situations. Business environment offers countless examples of situations, where it is necessary to respond to changes caused by the decision of someone else or to initiate the change by yourself. Using game theory as a tool for analysis and deeper understanding of the situations, which managers face in their practice, and subsequently for better decision making, is entirely desirable. In this work is covered usage of game theory for common business situations and, consequently, the way to effectively ensure the development of the theoretical foundations of knowledge and ability to practically use it with enterprise managers.
