Possibilities of using social media in the recruitment and selection of employees in the chosen company

Abstract:

Cílem této práce bylo popsat možnosti zvolených sociálních sítí při získávání a výběru pracovníků ve vybrané společnosti, jak je vidí vybrané osoby. Úvodních pět kapitol vymezuje teoretické vědění vztahující se k hlavní výzkumné otázce. První kapitola definuje vliv zaměstnanců na společnost, ve které jsou zaměstnaní. Následující dvě kapitoly se zaobírají fázemi získávání a výběru pracovníků s popisem nejčastěji využívaných metod. Čtvrtá kapitola líčí možnosti sociálních sítí se zaměřením na jejich využití při získávání a výběru pracovníků. Práce je zaměřena na sociální sítě Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Twitter a LinkedIn. Poslední z úvodních kapitol charakterizuje společnost, ve které byl prováděn výzkum, se zaměřením na specifika dané firmy při získávání a výběru zaměstnanců. Další kapitola hovoří o metodologii této práce, kdy byla použita smíšená strategie výzkumu a metodou byly polostrukturované rozhovory, zkoumání virtuálních dat a anketa. Tato data byla analyzována a interpretována v předposlední kapitole tak, aby mohla být zodpovězena hlavní výzkumná otázka. V závěru jsou zrekapitulovány zjištěné poznatky a připojeno doporučení k dalšímu postupu.

Abstract:

The aim of this study was to describe the possibilities of chosen social networks in the recruitment and selection of employees in a given company, as seen by selected people. Five introductory chapters outline the theoretical knowledge related to the main research question. The first chapter defines the influence of employees on the society in which they are employed. The following two chapters give an account of the stages of recruitment and selection of staff with a description of the most commonly used methods. The fourth chapter describes the possibilities of social media, focusing on their use in recruitment and selection of employees. The study is focused on the social networks Facebook, Google+, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn. The last of the introductory chapters characterizes the company, in which the research was conducted, focusing on their specifics in the recruitment and selection of employees. Another chapter describes the methodology of this study, when the mixed research strategies were used, methods were semi-structured interviews, exploring of virtual data and survey. This data was analyzed and interpreted in the penultimate chapter so that the main research question can be answered. In the end, the findings were recapped and accompanied by a recommendation for further procedure.
