The paper concentrates on the nation of the Picts. The aim of this research is to describe the role of religion in the development of the Pictish culture and describe the historical events which influenced the Pictish nation and led to the union with the Scots of Dalriada in the ninth century. Tato práce se zabývá národem Piktů. Cílem práce je popsat roli náboženství na vývoj piktské kultury a historické události, které ovlivnily národ Piktů a vedly ke spojení se Skoty z Dalriady v devátém století. Dalé se zabývá pohanským charakterem tohoto národa a následným příchodem křesťanství a jeho vlivem na národ Piktů.
