Design of a multi-axis robotic arm for small material handling

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem víceosého robotického ramene určeného pro manipulaci s drobným materiálem. V rámci práce je řešena konstrukce ramene, elektrické zapojení, programování ramene a jeho realizace. V úvodu práce je shrnuta současná situace a potenciál využití robotických ramen v průmyslu. Po té je zařazena definice průmyslových mechanismů, klasifikace průmyslových robotů a manipulátorů, současné využití těchto strojů v praxi a využití umělé inteligence. Práce dále obsahuje charakteristiku průmyslových robotů, jejich rozdělení, základní kinematiku, druhy jejich pohybů a možnosti pohonu robotů. Po té jsou v práci zařazeny možnosti řízení robotických ramen, jejich technické parametry, možné kinematické řetězce, definice pracovního prostoru, charakteristika elektrických pohonů, efektorů a automatizačních prostředků. V rámci návrhu víceosého robotického ramene je zpracováno několik variant kinematického řetězce, návrh součástí robotu, volba komponent pohonu robotu, výpočty namáhání robotu, návrh řízení, výroba součástí a kompletace. V závěru práce je uvedeno shrnutí dosažených výsledků, technické a ekonomické zhodnocení a doporučení.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the design of a multi-axis robotic arm designed for handling small material. The work deals with the construction of the arm, electrical connection, programming of the arm and its implementation. The current situation and the potential of using robotic arms in industry are summarized in the introduction of the thesis. After that, the definition of industrial mechanisms, the classification of industrial robots and manipulators, the current use of these machines in practice and the use of artificial intelligence are included. The thesis also contains the characteristics of industrial robots, their distribution, basic kinematics, types of their movements and robot drive options. After that, the work includes options for controlling robotic arms, their technical parameters, possible kinematic chains, definition of the working space, characteristics of electric drives, effectors and automation devices. As part of the design of the multi-axis robot arm, several variants of the kinematic chain, design of robot components, selection of robot drive components, robot stress calculations, control design, production of components and assembly are processed. At the end of the thesis, a summary of the achieved results, technical and economic evaluation and recommendations are given.
