Výsledky měření perzistentních organických polutantů (POPs) ve vodě a volném ovzduší prováděné během vzorkovacích plaveb poskytují cenné informace o jejich výskytu, osudu, transportu, míře uplatnění různých zdrojů i efektivitě celé řady úmluv zaměřených na omezení jejich výroby a užívání a na minimalizaci jejich dopadů na životní prostředí.
