Analysis of Current Tasks of Special Educational Centres According to the Type of Handicap in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Anotace: Význam podpůrných pedagogicko-psychologických služeb roste s přijetím české republiky do Evropské unie a s tím spojenou rostoucí snahou integrovat žáky se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami do běžných typů škol a školských zařízení. Cílem disertační práce bylo zmapovat zkušenosti se vzděláváním a s poskytováním poradenských služeb ve školství v České republice z pohledu teoretického, historického a praktického. Dalším cílem bylo porovnat systémy v České republice a na Slovensku, zejména s ohledem na rozdělení společné republiky v roce 1993 a analyzovat změny probíhající v českém školství po roce 1989. Záměrem bylo analyzovat nejen systém poradenství v České republice jako celku, ale i jeho pokrytí ve vztahu k přístupnosti uvedených služeb pro klienty bez ohledu na jejich místo pobytu v republice. Cílem výzkumného šetření bylo analyzovat zkušenosti odborníků speciálně pedagogických center (psychologů a speciálních pedagogů), provést obsahovou analýzu dat ze zpráv z vyšetření dětí, žáků a studentů se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami, a to z mnoha úhlů pohledu a na základě získaných dat definovat závěrečné doporučení pro oblast struktury a administrace zpráv z vyšetření.

Abstract:

Annotation: The sense of pedagogical-psychological services’ existence is increasing along with the Czech Republic membership in the European Union and the attempt to integrate pupils with special educational needs into mainstream schools. The goal of this thesis was to complete research concerning experience in education and counseling services provision in the school system in the Czech Republic from theoretical, historical and practical point of view. Another goal was to compare services in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic, especially concerning the division of these two countries in 1993 and to analyze the changes after the year 1989. The goal was not only to analyze the system as a whole but to see also the accessibility of these services in the whole country for all people living everywhere in the country. Research itself was focused on experience of specialists from special educational centres (psychologists and special teachers). Another goal was to make a content analysis of the data obtained from the sittings with the children, pupils and students with special educational needs. Recommendation on the basis of these data for the area of structure and administration of the reports were stated.
