Community functions of a selected non-profit organization: its influence on image

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá otázkou fungování a image vybrané neziskové organizace působící v oblasti kulturně-vzdělávacích volnočasových aktivit. Představuje teoretické koncepty, které pomáhají porozumět procesům budování image jak ve specifických podmínkách neziskového sektoru, tak s ohledem na komunitní funkci organizace. Nabízí nejen perspektivu teorie marketingu, ale i dalších sociálních věd: antropologie, sociologie i psychologie. Součástí je vlastní kvalitativní výzkum, provedený s využitím metody obsahové analýzy a metody zakotvené teorie, jehož cílem je po-rovnání žádoucího a skutečného obsahu image.

Abstract:

The thesis discusses aspects of the operation and image of one selected non-profit organization that is active in the area of cultural and educational leisure activities. It presents theoretical concepts that help to understand closely the processes of image-building that are applied under specific conditions of the non-profit sector and with regard to the community role of the local organization. This is discussed not only from the perspective of marketing theory, but also from the perspective of other social sciences: anthropology, sociology and psychology. This thesis also outlines a qualitative research that was conducted using the methods of content analysis and grounded theory. The goal of the research was to compare the desired and actual image content.
