Spa and Health Tourism in Austria

Abstract:

Původním smyslem lázeňství byla léčba určitých nemocí. Tento smysl dodnes přetrvává, ale postupem času k němu přidaly procedury a pobyty za účelem zkrášlování, odpočinku a načerpání fyzických a duševních sil. Rakousko představuje atraktivní oblast pro lázeňské využití převážně díky vysokohorským klimatickým podmínkám v oblasti Alp a velkému množství minerálních a termálních pramenů. Z hlediska cestovního ruchu se jedná o velmi významnou turistickou destinaci. Cílem této práce je analyzovat podmínky lázeňství na území Rakouska z hlediska turistického a balneologického, to znamená z hlediska přírodních zdrojů a léčených onemocnění. V práci porovnávám využití přírodních léčivých zdrojů v Rakousku a České republice. Využila jsem zde metodu analýzy a komparace.

Abstract:

Taking care of one´s own health is now becoming an essential part of a healthy lifestyle for almost every individual. People are exposed to unprecedented and ubiquitous stress, which can have negative effects on human health and psyche. Modern - day way of life of a substantial part of population is a cause of civilisation deseases risk increase. More and more people are aware of the need to care for themselves. There are many possibilities on the market and one of them is spa treatment described in this work. The original purpose of balneology is to treat certain diseases. This sense remains to this day, but over time procedures and stays to beautify, rest and recharge one´s physical and mental strength have been added. The aim of this work is to analyze the conditions of spa system in Austria from the point of view of tourism and balneology in terms of natural sources and treated diseases. In this work I compare the use of natural healing resources in Austria and the Czech Republic. I used the method of analysis and comparison.
