Game of financial literacy

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o problematice finanční gramotnosti žáků osmých a devátých tříd základní školy a jim odpovídající třídy na gymnáziu (tercie a kvarta) a je složena z části teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části je definován a vymezen pojem finanční gramotnost. Následně zahrnuje teoretická část i vymezení základních složek finanční gramotnosti a s nimi spojenými oblastmi. Poté jsou krátce popsány další dva druhy gramotnosti. V poslední podkapitole je popsán význam didaktické hry ve výuce.Praktická část je zaměřena na tvorbu samotné didaktické hry, pomocí které lze otestovat úroveň finanční gramotnosti vybraných žáků. Vybrány byly školy v Mělníce, konkrétně se jedná o Základní školu Mělník, Jaroslava Seiferta 148, příspěvková organizace a Gymnázium Jana Palacha, Mělník, Pod Vrchem 3421. Součástí praktické části je vyhodnocení všech otázek, které hra nabízí. Dále následuje vyhodnocení šesti oblastí, do kterých byly otázky zařazeny. V závěru práce bylo provedeno porovnání naměřených výsledků žáků Základní školy a žáků Gymnázia.

Abstract:

Theses focuses on financial literacy of 8th and 9th graders of elementary school and grammar school equivalent. It is composed of theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part defines the term of financial literacy as well as it’s individual components, and their respective parts. It also briefly describes other types of literacy. The last chapter of the theoretical part is devoted to the value of using didactical board game during class. Practical part opens with the creation of the game itself. The game allows evaluation of financial literacy among students. Two schools were chosen for the testing, specifically Základní školu Mělník, Jaroslava Seiferta 148, příspěvková organizace and Gymnázium Jana Palacha, Mělník, Pod Vrchem 3421. Practical part also consists of evaluation of all the included questions. It also splits the questions into six themes that are further evaluated. Thesis concludes with comparison of results of both schools.
