Efficiency of internal communication in organization

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje intranetu jakožto hlavnímu nástroji vnitrofiremní komunikace. Hlavním cílem je návrh systému měření efektivnosti intranetu ve vybrané organizaci. První část představuje vymezení teoretického rámce, včetně pojmů a principů týkajících se dané problematiky. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na proces komunikace ve společnosti a portál sloužící k její fungování, na jejich prvky a systém řízení. Zdrojem informací byly odborná literatura, rozhovory s pracovníky personálního oddělení a dotazníkové šetření mezi zaměstnanci. Na základě výsledků byly zjištěny nedostatky a slabá místa intranetu a navržena řešení k jich odstranění. Hlavním přínosem práce je stanovení systému měření portálu, který firma může opakovaně použít k vylepšení efektivity interní komunikace.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the intranet that is the main tool of company’s internal communication. The main objective is to design a system for measuring the effectiveness of the intranet in a selected organization. The first part presents the theoretical framework, including concepts and principles related to the issue. The second part of the thesis focuses on the process of communication in the company and the intranet, on their elements and management system. Sources of information were academic literature, interviews with employees of the personnel department and a questionnaire survey among employees. Based on the results, shortcomings and weaknesses of the intranet were identified and solutions were proposed to eliminate them. The main benefit of the work is the determination of the portal measurement system, which the company can repeatedly use to improve the efficiency of internal communication.
