Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je zjistit jaké dopady ponesou studenti při zavedení školného na veřejných vysokých školách v České republice. Výzkum je omezen na studenty Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze a studenty Univerzity Karlovy, jejichž výsledky jsou mezi sebou porovnávány. Pro výzkumné účely byly stanoveny tři hypotézy, které reprezentují cíl práce. První hypotézou bylo očekávání, že studenti obecně nebudou chtít přijmout školné. Druhou hypotézou byl předpoklad, že studenti Vysoké školy ekonomické v Praze budou ve větší míře shovívavější k placení školného. Třetí hypotézou představovala očekávání obecného zvýšení motivace ke studiu, a tím i nárůst ambicí a dlouhodobých cílů studentů. Výsledky této práce potvrdily první hypotézu, že studenti obecně nejsou nakloněni k zavedení školného. Druhá a třetí hypotéza byly na základě analýzy a syntézy dat zamítnuty. Dalším výsledkem výzkumu je zjištění, žeškolné je studenty považováno za klíčový faktor při volbě studijního oboru. Z finančního hlediska by školné nejvíce omezilo studenty v oblastech bydlení, stravování a volnočasových aktivitách.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to determine the impacts that students would bear with the introduction of tuition fees at public universities in the Czech Republic. The research is limited to students from the University of Economics, Prague, and Charles University, with their results compared. Three hypotheses were established for research purposes, representing the objectives of the study. The first hypothesis anticipated that students generally would not be willing to accept tuition fees. The second hypothesis assumed that students from the University of Economics, Prague would be more tolerant towards paying tuition fees. The third hypothesis expected a general increase in motivation to study, leading to a rise in students' ambitions and long-term goals. The results of this study confirmed the first hypothesis that students generally oppose the introduction of tuition fees. The second and third hypotheses were rejected based on data analysis and synthesis. Another finding of the research is that tuition fees are considered by students as a key factor in choosing a study field. From a financial perspective, tuition fees would primarily restrict students in the areas of accommodation, meals, and leisure activities.
