Cílem této magisterské práce je zhodnotit pozici uměleckého překladu na poli dnešní translatologie a vytvořit jeho adekvátní definici. The primary purpose of this diploma thesis is to evaluate the position of literary (artistic) translation in the scope of translation studies and to create an appropriate definition. In the first part, existing definitions of translation are described and compared. The focus is on linguistic definitions that include meaning as an essential aspect.
