Abstract:
Bakalářská práce Translation and Analysis of Bill Bailey’s Qualmpeddler se věnuje překladu a následné analýze překladu podstatné části titulků stand-up comedy Qualmpeddler. Teoretická část se zabývá titulkováním a překladem kulturně specifických prvků. Analýza je pak z podstatné části zaměřena na identifikaci použitých strategií při překladu těchto prvků.
Abstract:
The thesis Translation and Analysis of Bill Bailey’s Qualmpeddler is focused on translation and subsequent analysis of a significant part of the subtitles of the stand-up comedy Qualmpeddler. The theoretical part deals with subtitling and translation of culture-specific items. The analysis is mostly dedicated to indentification of the strategies used when translating those items.
