Technical-economic analysis of nuclear fuel reprocessing

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce popisuje převážně zadní část palivového cyklu jaderné elektrárny, která souvisí s manipulací s vyhořelým jaderným palivem po využití v reaktoru. Zabývá se moţnými způsoby uložení jaderného paliva a jeho zpětným využitím dnes i v budoucnosti. Objektivně shrnuje výhody a nevýhody popisovaných technologií. Nakonec se práce věnuje významným světovým studiím, které provedly porovnání nákladů přepracovacího procesu s konceptem hlubinného úložiště.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis describes especially a back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle, which is closely associated with a handling with a spent fuel after it is used in reactor. It deals with possible ways of storing of nuclear fuel and with an using of spent fuel today and in the future. Objectively summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the described technologies. Finally, the thesis deals with the most world's significant studies, that have made a comparison of reprocessing cost with a concept for deep geological repository.
