Leisure time and its experience with regard to the age structure of the workforce

Abstract:

Volný čas souvisí s well-beingem pracovníků, a proto tato práce zkoumá vybrané aspekty zaměstnanců s ohledem na věkovou skupinu, ve vztahu k volnému času. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaké množství volného času pracovníci mají, jak ho tráví v závislosti na věku a faktorech ovlivňujících jejich aktivity napříč generacemi. Data získaná pomocí dotazníkové šetření byla na základě stanovených hypotéz a výzkumných otázek šetřena v kvantitativním výzkumu pomocí metody Chí-kvadrát testu nezávislosti, doplněný o zobecněnou verzi Fischerova testu. Bylo prokázáno, že pohlaví hraje roli v otázce množství volného času a nebylo prokázáno, že by generační skupina měla vliv na množství volné času ve všední dny.

Abstract:

Leisure time is related to employee well-being, and therefore this bachelor thesis examines selected aspects of employee age group in relation to leisure time. This thesis aimed to find out how much leisure time employees have, how they spend it depending on their age, and what factors influence their activities across generations. Based on the stated hypotheses and research questions, the data obtained from the questionnaire survey was examined in a quantitative research framework using the Chi-Square test of independence, supplemented by a generalized version of Fisher's test. Gender was shown to be relevant to the question of amount of leisure time and generational group was not confirmed to have an effect on the amount of leisure time on weekdays.
