Identification of material parameters of rubber segments in tram wheels with consideration of viscoelasticity

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá popisem mechanických vlastností pryže, používané jako pružicí prvek v tramvajových kolech. Na trhacím stroji byly provedeny zkoušky jednoosým tahem, tlakem a prostým smykem. Pro výpočty byl vybrán materiálový model sestávající z Mooneyova-Rivlinova pětiparametrického modelu pro výpočet rovnovážné odezvy, modelu viskoelasticity pro velké deformace a modelu deformačního změkčení (Mullinsova efektu). V prostředí Matlab byly implementovány skripty pro identifikaci parametrů tohoto modelu. Využity byly optimalizační algoritmy a konečněprvkové modely experimentů v systému MSC.Marc.

Abstract:

This work deals with the description of mechanical properties of rubber that is used as a vibration-damping element in tram wheels. Tests in uniaxial tension, compression and simple shear have been made. The material model that was chosen consists of Mooney-Rivlin five-parameters material model for calculating the equilibrium response, of a viscoelasticity model for large deformations and of a model of strain-induced softening (Mullins? effect). Scripts for the identification of parameters of this model have been implemented in Matlab environment. Optimization algorithms and finite elements models in MSC.Marc were used.
