Práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol a to teoretické a praktické části. Práce se zaměřuje na sluchové postižení, mentální postižení a komunikace osob se souběžným sluchovým a mentálním postižením. Další části se zabývají péčí o osoby se souběžným postižením. V praktické části je zpracováno výzkumné šetření.
