Abstract:
The bachelor thesis focuses on the portrayal of climate, landscape, wildlife, nutrition and lifestyle of people living in the Arctic of the Northwest Territories of Canada and Alaska. The objective is to analyse the chosen books in order to determine whether the readers might develop a comprehensive image of life in the North by reading these novels.
