Analysing Success Factors of Brownfield Conversion for Cultural Purposes

Abstract:

Předmětem bakalářské práce je identifikace a analýza klíčových faktorů ovlivňující úspěšnost projektů konverze brownfields na prostory sloužící kulturním účelům. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na problematiku brownfields na území České republiky, definuje základní terminologii, popisuje možnosti využití brownfields, jakož i objasňuje procesy a mechanismy vedoucí k jejich vzniku. Dále vymezuje legislativní rámec regenerace brownfields včetně způsobů jejího financování. V praktické části je analyzováno několik konkrétních projektů konverze brownfields na místa sloužící pro kulturní účely, a to s cílem identifikovat klíčové podmínky a skutečnosti ovlivňující úspěšnost projektu. Součástí práce je rovněž návrh doporučení pro budoucí realizátory projektů a jsou zde formulovány konkrétní návrhy na zajištění efektivního využití potenciálu konvertovaného objektu.

Abstract:

The main focus of the bachelor thesis is to identify and analyse key factors which have an influence on how successful the conversion of brownfields into areas used for cultural purposes is. The theoretical part of the paper focuses on the issue of brownfields in the Czech Republic, provides definitions of the elementary terminology of the issue, describes the possibilities of usage and finally explains the processes and mechanisms leading to the creation of a brownfield. The thesis also focuses on the legislative framework of brownfield regeneration, including the ways of financing brownfield regeneration. In the practical part, several specific brownfield conversion projects are analysed, with the main focus on identifying the key factors that lead to a successful project. The thesis also includes proposals for future projects developers and specific recommendations are mentioned, which should ensure efficient use of the potential the converted object has.
